Oman’s low-cost carrier, SalamAir, has launched direct flights connecting Muscat to Port Sudan, marking the first time an Omani airline has served this route and making SalamAir the first GCC airline to offer direct access to Sudan. The service operates three times a week—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays—with a flight time of roughly 3 to 3.5 hours each way. Services are flown on A321 aircraft, offering affordable fares for travellers looking to explore Sudan or connect to the wider GCC network.
