Dubai's Atlantis the Royal to Open a Two-Island Resort in the Maldives
Set across two islands, this 493-key resort brings sky-high infinity pools, turquoise beaches, 20 restaurants, and a massive Aquaventure waterpark to Vaaredhdhoo Faru.
Dubai’s iconic Atlantis The Royal, famed for its sky-high infinity pools and underwater-inspired design, is making its Maldives debut in 2029 on Vaaredhdhoo Faru. Accessible by 10 minutes by seaplane or 25 minutes by speedboat from Male, the new dual-island Maldives resort mirrors the Dubai resort’s signature dual-island experience—Family Island and Luxury Island—with 493 keys, including 270 rooms and 223 villas and mansions. Guests can explore 5.8 KM of turquoise beachfront, two beach clubs, 20 restaurants, and a massive Aquaventure waterpark, anchored by the signature Neptune and Poseidon Towers. Signature dining from Dubai, including Ossiano and the Royal Tearoom, will be recreated here. Wellness and lifestyle remain at the heart of the experience, with a botanical alchemy zone, longevity spa, overwater yoga deck, hybrid fitness centre, boutiques, and event spaces, all designed to merge relaxation with the indulgence that made the resort's Dubai counterpart legendary.
