Egypt’s Kotn is Opening a Store in New York City's Lower East Side
The lower east side is about to welcome 100% Egyptian cotton - XOXO, gossip girl.
After establishing stores in Toronto, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary, the Egyptian ready-to-wear clothing and home essentials label Kotn is expanding its presence to another corner of New York City: the Lower East Side.
Whilst the brand was built on providing ‘the perfect cotton t-shirt’, it has since expanded into various other apparel and materials. While rooted in 100% Egyptian cotton (their namesake), they also incorporate linen, ECOTEC cotton, lyocell, merino wool, and more. Certified by B Corporation and voted Best for the World, Kotn upholds ethical practices through their cotton cultivation in Fayoum, direct trade, and collaboration with a local NGO to construct schools for farmers’ children.
Currently, Kotn is in the process of opening a shop on the Lower East Side, specifically on Orchard Street, which is expected to be even larger than their Brooklyn location. Summering in the Hamptons and New York is about to become a whole lot comfier and cosier.
