Dubai Exhibition Centre Expansion to Raise Capacity to 60,000

Dubai Exhibition Centre is expanding its facilities to raise daily visitor capacity to 60,000, with part of the next phase targeted for completion as early as September 2027.

The project, part of Dubai World Trade Centre, is being delivered across three phases and is currently around 10% complete, according to Amer Alfarsi, Vice President of Real Estate Development at Dubai World Trade Centre. Phase two is scheduled for completion in 2028.

The expansion will include 100,000 sqm of dedicated service yards, an expanded road network and a multi-storey car park. A new concourse will connect opposite sides of the exhibition halls, allowing events of different sizes to operate simultaneously.

First announced in 2024, the wider expansion programme began with a first phase that was completed in January 2026, nearly six months ahead of schedule.

Phase two will cover 160,000 sqm and add permanent exhibition halls, dedicated service yards, an enhanced road network and direct connectivity to Expo City.

Dubai World Trade Centre hosted 401 events in 2025. Healthcare and medical events were its highest-performing sector, with 23 events attracting around 436,000 participants.
