Egypt to Host World Junior Chess Championship

The Egyptian Chess Federation is gearing up to host the World Junior Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships in Cairo from December 8th to the 15th, bringing together players from more than 100 countries around the world.

The championships will feature rapid and blitz competitions for junior boys and girls. Rapid allows more time for players to make their moves, while blitz is played at a much faster pace. A total of 72 medals will be up for grabs throughout the week-long event.

Egypt is the first country in both the Middle East and Africa to host the World Rapid and Blitz Championships for these age categories.
