Sa’Cha by Pang & LahKee Join Forces for Six-Course Omakase

Sa’Cha by Pang and LahKee are bringing four chefs and two very different culinary identities to the same table this September with ‘Sa’Cha Gets LahKee’, a limited-run six-course omakase collaboration in Dubai.

The collaboration pairs Sa’Cha’s Latin American and Asian influences with LahKee’s Filipino, Japanese and Chinese references, with the menu built jointly rather than one restaurant simply hosting dishes from the other. Sa’Cha by Pang is located on the Promenade Level of Address Creek Harbour Hotel, while LahKee operates from Al Safa 1 Park Complex.

At Sa’Cha, Malaysian-born chef Pang brings 19 years of experience across Singapore, the UAE and beyond, including time at COYA and SUSHISAMBA Dubai, while Colombian-born co-founder Nicolas Badran draws on a career spanning Astrid y Gastón in Lima, Manko in Paris and three years at SUSHISAMBA Dubai.

At LahKee, husband-and-wife chefs Mark and Mary Calbay work from a different set of references. Their menu draws on Filipino, Japanese and Chinese influences, pairing street-food familiarity with Japanese precision, while the restaurant’s name nods to both a Singlish expression of warmth and the Chinese concept of qi, or vitality.

"There's a natural connection between the way we approach food and the way Sa'Cha by Pang does. We each have our own memories, influences and techniques, but there's a shared curiosity behind it all," Mark Calbay tells SceneNowUAE. "The exciting part is seeing what happens when those ideas meet at the same table."

Across the six courses, Sa'Cha's Latin American flavours and Asian technique meet LahKee's Pan-Asian comfort food, moving between citrus-led and umami-forward dishes shaped by Filipino, Japanese and Chinese cooking. The menu was built specifically for the collaboration, with ideas, techniques and memories from both kitchens folded into each course rather than one restaurant's menu simply hosting the other's dishes.
