Tayar Drops Acoustic Version of ‘Soot El Reeh’ to Raise Funds for Gaza
The track has been released as part of a compilation by Fake Lines, a non-profit label dedicated to supporting Palestinians in Gaza.

Jordanian indie duo, Tayar, have released an acoustic version of their 2021 classic ‘Soot El Reeh’, which serves as the first single from a compilation to raise funds for Palestinians in Gaza.
Originally written during the COVID-19 lockdown, ‘Soot El Reeh’ reflects that moment when, for the first time in years, the sound of the wind could be heard differently across the city, stripped of its usual noise. The duo revisits the track’s original production to place the lyrics at the forefront with minimalist instrumentals and slow-burning guitar riffs. The poignant lyrics touch on themes of injustice and hypocrisy, highlighting the fragile, distorted peace and the ongoing lack of sovereignty in the Levant region.
The track is part of ‘Fakes Lines: Sono Levant’ VA compilation, which is released via Fake Lines, a non-profit record label established during the genocide in Gaza, in collaboration with Proton Radio. All revenue from the compilation will go directly to support ‘Revive Gaza’s Farmland’, an initiative by the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature organisation, dedicated to helping farmers in Gaza with seeds, cultivation, and fair access to markets.
