Omar Keif and Mousv Soundtrack Cairo’s Sleepless Nights on ‘City’

Egyptian producer Omar Keif has released a new single from his highly anticipated forthcoming debut album 001. Titled 'City', the track features Ismailia-born rapper Mousv, who delivers sharp, self-assured verses on loyalty, friendship, and his stature in the scene.

Built on an aggressive trap framework, the production layers distorted synth lines over heavy 808s and crisp percussion, creating a smoky, high-gloss haze, complemented by Mousv’s auto-tuned ad-libs and steady, assertive delivery.

The music video follows Mousv through Cairo at night, moving between dimly lit streets and a carnival setting. It also cuts to scenes of two children navigating the city on a nighttime outing, adding a parallel thread to the visuals.

“City” is the penultimate single from 001, which also features contributions from Sudanese rapper Hleem Taj Alser, Ziad Zaza, and ZAD.
