Jeddah’s The Container Debuts With Five-Night Event Series Sep 3-25

This September, Saudi Arabia’s nightlife landscape welcomes The Container, an ambitious new venue aiming to provide an underground sanctuary in the heart of Jeddah. Coming hot out of the gate, the space launches with a massive five-part event series spanning house, techno, and regional rap from some the most celebrated artists in the region and beyond.

Things kick off September 3th with the melodic and Afro-infused sounds of Maz, Laolu, and Saudi favorites Dish Dash, Bkr, and Eyad, before shifting into a tech-house takeover on September 4th courtesy of Sosa, Fleur Shore, Vinyl Mode, Blacky, and Future Loop.

On September 11th, the venue changes gears entirely for a regional rap and hip-hop night led by Egyptian star Ziad Zaza, joined by electronic producer Dr. Alfons, Shark, and Bowa.

French house royalty Apollonia then land in Jeddah on September 18th for their first-ever performance in the city, backed by Varoo and a Vinyl Mode b2b Abbas set.

Wrapping up the inaugural run on September 25th, live electronic performers Khenya, Malkin, and Sufis take the booth to explore leftfield and synthesized sounds.

With its genre-fluid programming, The Container mirrors the rapid maturation of the Kingdom’s music infrastructure, signaling that local crowds are eager for more sonic diversity.
