Abyusif Expands His Rock-Trap Experimentation on Latest Single ‘Lesa’

Egyptian rapper Abyusif has never been one to stay confined to a single sonic lane. After a run of combative, old-school rap releases, he turned towards a more melodic side with the guitar-driven ‘Ma Betheseeh’. His latest release, ‘Lesa’, pushes that shift further, exploring the intersection of alternative rock and trap.

Produced by Ali Zain, with guitar work by Abyusif himself and mixing and mastering by Muhammad El Alfy, ‘Lesa’ opens on a solitary guitar loop that sets a melancholic tone. His muffled, pitch-shifted vocals drift through the mix like a midnight confession before the track breaks open at the 0:51 mark, surging into a driving trap beat anchored by sub-heavy 808s and rapid-fire hi-hats.

Lyrically, the title operates as both a declaration and a defensive shield. Abyusif addresses the friction between his long-standing legacy and the relentless noise of rivals in the scene. Moving fluidly between melodic crooning and raspy, rapid-fire bars, he confronts emotional exhaustion while asserting his dominance: he is still breathing, still creating, and still running the board - and if you look too close into it, it almost feels like a continuation to the broader narrative he’s been orchestrating since his recent pivot.

With ‘Lesa’, Abyusif reinforces why his name remains synonymous with Egyptian rap innovation, showing that even after a decade at the top, his hunger and artistic evolution are far from over.
