UAE Schools Score Above Global Averages in 2026 IB Results

Several UAE schools have reported perfect scores and above-global-average performance after students received their May 2026 International Baccalaureate (IB) results on July 6th.

The results follow an unprecedented examination cycle after final IB exams across the UAE and other Gulf countries were cancelled because of regional security concerns linked to the US-Israel-Iran conflict. In consultation with the UAE Ministry of Education, the International Baccalaureate Organisation awarded grades using its Non-Exam Contingency Measure (NECM), an established framework used when examinations could not safely take place.

Despite the disruption, schools reported students achieving the maximum possible score of 45 points and cohort averages exceeding the global benchmark.

Students can access their results through the official International Baccalaureate candidate portal, with more schools expected to announce detailed cohort results and university destinations in the coming days.
