SceneNoise & WSLA Return to Cairo's Nile-Side with New Format Sep 18

Returning on Friday, September 18th for its third iteration, SceneNoise and WSLA are teaming up once again for a dining and listening party centred on the art of intentional listening. The evening is designed to move beyond music as background noise, creating a space to slow down, tune in, and experience sound through a considered hi-fi setup.

Taking place at Nile-side venue Ceryle in Cairo’s leafy Maadi, WSLA 3.0 draws on global audiophile traditions, including Japan’s Jazz Kissa culture, where focused listening is treated as an experience in its own right. This edition takes that idea a step further, unfolding across three distinct acts that move from an intimate dinner, to an open listening bar, and finally to the dancefloor.

The evening begins from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Act I: a curated sit-down dinner by COOLCAT, soundtracked by an ambient set from Youla. With limited seating, access to the dinner is available through a dedicated ticket tier.

From 8:00 PM until midnight, the tables give way to a central listening lounge, with music selectors Alia Nour and Nour Fahmy taking over the decks. The format becomes more fluid, allowing guests to move, socialise and converse while keeping the hi-fi system at the centre of the room. Rather than demanding silence, WSLA treats attentive listening as something that can coexist with conversation and movement.

As midnight approaches, the evening enters its final act. With seating taking a backseat, Omar Fayyad steps up to the booth, transforming the listening bar into a more intimate late-night club setting that carries the night through until late.
