Mar 25, 2026
A status rectification programme has been introduced for travellers unable to leave the Kingdom due to recent regional developments, covering visit, Umrah, transit and final exit visas that expired on or after February 25th, 2026.
Under the updated measures, holders of expired visit visas can depart directly through any international port without extending their visas or paying late fees or fines.
For those choosing to remain temporarily, visa extensions are available until April 18th, 2026. Applications must be submitted by the visitor’s host through the Absher platform, with standard fees applied.
