Riyadh Air has graduated its first group of Saudi female aircraft maintenance engineers, with 26 women completing a specialised diploma programme in Riyadh.

The graduation ceremony was held at the airline’s headquarters on August 31st, 2026, with the engineers’ families and senior executives in attendance.

The programme was launched in cooperation with Colleges of Excellence and the International Aviation Technical College at Riyadh. Riyadh Air describes it as the first initiative of its kind in Saudi Arabia focused on preparing Saudi women for aircraft maintenance roles.

Training was designed around international maintenance standards and forms part of wider efforts to build local technical expertise within the aviation sector.
