Nominations Open for Inaugural Dubai-it Award

Nominations have opened for the first edition of the Dubai-it Award, a new annual programme recognising individuals, projects, companies and organisations that have delivered exceptional achievements in line with Dubai's philosophy of turning ambitious ideas into tangible results with speed and excellence. Applications will be accepted until September 10th.

Launched under the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the award builds on the Dubai-it initiative introduced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which promotes a culture of decisive action, rapid execution and measurable impact across government, business and society. The initiative aims to embed this philosophy across institutions while encouraging future generations to pursue bold ideas and deliver results.

The award is divided into three main recognition categories—Individuals, Projects, and Institutions & Companies—covering fields including government, real estate, business, technology, sports, education, health and services. Eligible nominees may nominate themselves or be nominated by others through the programme's digital platform.

For the inaugural edition, submissions must relate to achievements, initiatives or transformations delivered within the past four years. Entries will be assessed against criteria including the scale of the achievement, excellence in execution, speed of delivery, measurable impact, sustainability and the extent to which they embody Dubai's philosophy of work. Supporting evidence, including performance data, reports and other documentation, must accompany each nomination.
