National Water Company Completes Five Reservoirs in Riyadh
Part of phase two of Riyadh’s strategic water plan, the reservoirs aim to improve daily distribution across western districts at a cost exceeding SAR 128 million.
The National Water Company has completed five new water reservoirs in western Riyadh as part of the second phase of the capital's strategic water plan, with total investments exceeding SAR 128 million.
The project adds a combined 180,000 cubic metres of water storage capacity, comprising one reservoir with a capacity of 100,000 cubic metres and four additional reservoirs capable of storing 20,000 cubic metres each.
The works also include a pumping station with a daily capacity of 125,000 cubic metres, designed to strengthen water distribution across several districts in western Riyadh and improve the efficiency of the city's supply network.
According to the National Water Company, the project is intended to enhance operational efficiency, improve service quality and support the capital's growing demand for water as urban expansion continues.
The reservoirs form part of the second phase of Riyadh's strategic water plan, which aims to strengthen the resilience of the city's water infrastructure while supporting the broader objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to provide sustainable and reliable utility services.
