Ministry of Health Reports 97.5% Satisfaction in Saudi Healthcare
Metrics highlight gains in early detection, infrastructure and life expectancy as part of Vision 2030 progress.
Healthcare satisfaction in Saudi Arabia has reached 97.5%, according to figures released by the Ministry of Health alongside the Vision 2030 annual report.
The data reflects broader improvements across the healthcare system, including expanded access and rising life expectancy, which has reached 79.7 years.
Healthcare coverage now stands at 70.4% across the Kingdom, supported by an integrated network of more than 2,000 hospitals and healthcare centres and 7,000 pharmacies connected through national digital platforms.
More than 200 million medical appointments have been delivered, while early detection programmes have reached over 3 million people.
Around 70% of cancer cases are now diagnosed at early stages, and 6 million individuals have benefited from premarital screening initiatives.
Reported outcomes include a 40% decline in deaths linked to chronic diseases and a 30% reduction in heart disease-related deaths.
Emergency response compliance has reached 85%, alongside improvements in road safety indicators, with traffic fatalities down by 50% compared to 2016 and overall accident-related deaths reduced by more than 60%.
Healthcare infrastructure has expanded with the addition of 241 hospitals, over 1,400 healthcare centres and more than 365 ambulances.
Volunteer participation has also grown, with over 35,000 healthcare volunteers contributing more than 170 million hours of service.
International recognition has accompanied these developments, with Saudi Arabia receiving more than 19 global awards, seven hospitals ranked among the world’s best and 16 cities accredited by the World Health Organization as Healthy Cities.
The figures also highlighted lifestyle indicators, with 59.1% of adults engaging in weekly physical activity, while 19% of children and adolescents are reported to be affected by obesity.
