Marcel Khalife Adds Manchester & London Shows to European Tour
Lebanese composer and virtuoso Marcel Khalife brings his 50th anniversary 'Promises of the Storm' tour to London & Manchester on Jan 30th and Feb 4th, 2027.
Legendary Lebanese composer, vocalist, and oud virtuoso Marcel Khalife is set to make a highly anticipated return to the UK, bringing his 50th-anniversary tour of 'Promises of the Storm' to London and Manchester.
Half a century after the release of his seminal debut album - a masterwork originally forged in the fires of exile, war, and the resistance poetry of Mahmoud Darwish - Khalife will deliver intimate solo performances at two of the country’s most prestigious arts spaces: Manchester’s Factory International on January 30th, 2027, and London’s Barbican on February 4th, 2027.
Organised in collaboration with MARSM, these newly added dates serve as an expansion of Khalife’s ongoing European run. The upcoming shows offer audiences an opportunity to witness the maestro revisit the foundational compositions that helped shape modern Arab political and cultural consciousness. Stripped back to a profound solo arrangement, the performances will channel the timeless spirit of the record, bridging decades of history through Khalife's mastery of the oud.
Tickets for the London and Manchester performances will officially go on sale on October 9th.
