Home Pickup Service to Collect Vehicle Plates in Sharjah
Motorists will be able to hand returned number plates to a noon representative instead of visiting traffic and licensing centres.
Motorists in Sharjah will soon be able to return vehicle number plates from home through a new collection service being introduced by Sharjah Police in partnership with noon.
The service is designed for licensing transactions that require plates to be handed back to the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, removing the need for customers to visit traffic and licensing centres solely to return them.
Once the option goes live, motorists will be able to request it through approved digital channels at traffic and licensing centres or through the Ministry of Interior’s MOI UAE app. A noon representative will collect the plates and deliver them to the relevant service centre.
Customers will then receive an SMS confirming that the plates have been collected, after which the remaining steps of the transaction can be completed electronically through the ministry’s smart applications and traffic and licensing platforms.
