Free Bus Rides Offered on Ras Al Khaimah's Purple Route

The Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority has relaunched the Purple Route connecting Al Nakheel and Manar Mall, offering free rides for the first month following its return on June 3rd, 2026.
The revised service operates 12 daily trips on an updated timetable designed to improve reliability and reduce waiting times for residents and visitors. Stretching 14 kilometres in each direction, the route includes nine stops serving major destinations across the emirate. These include the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, Obaida Allah Hospital, the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, Al Seyah Area, Ras Al Khaimah Hospital, the Public Health Centre – Preventive Medicine and the People of Determination Centre, alongside Al Nakheel and Manar Mall.
According to the authority, the updated route is intended to strengthen links between residential areas and key educational, healthcare and commercial destinations. The relaunch also marks the introduction of Ras Al Khaimah's first electric bus on a public transport route, a move aligned with the emirate's sustainability and clean energy objectives for 2026.
Passengers can use the Sayer smart application to plan journeys, view schedules and track buses in real time. The Purple Route forms part of wider plans to expand Ras Al Khaimah's public transport network to 215 kilometres and increase urban transport coverage from 55% to 65% by 2026.
