FC Barcelona Sign Egypt's Hamza Abdelkarim to a Three-Year-Contract

Barcelona have made it permanent. The Catalan club triggered the buy clause to sign Egyptian striker Hamza Abdelkarim permanently from Al Ahly, according to a statement posted to its official social media channels.
The 18-year-old joined the Spanish side on loan in February for €1.5m plus add-ons and quickly impressed with Barça's Juvenil A side. Convinced by his progress, the club has now activated the purchase option and locked him down until 2029.
"FC Barcelona has informed Al Ahly that it has exercised its option to purchase Hamza Abdelkarim," the club confirmed. "The Egyptian forward will permanently join the club, signing a three-year contract until June 30, 2029."
Abdelkarim is currently representing Egypt at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and has drawn consistent praise from FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick.
