Eid Al Adha Vacation Confirmed From Tuesday May 26th to Sunday 31st

A six-day paid public holiday for Eid al-Adha has been announced for state employees in Egypt from Tuesday, May 26th, to Sunday, May 31st, 2026.

The decision was issued by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and applies to employees working across ministries, government departments, public authorities, and local administration units.

The holiday also extends to employees of public sector companies and public business sector companies, with work suspended during the stated period as paid leave for Eid Al Adha.

According to the decision, examinations scheduled by the relevant authorities will continue during the holiday period based on their previously announced timetables.

This means exams already set for specific dates during the Eid break will proceed as planned under the supervision of their administering bodies.
