Dubai Private Schools to Close for Eid Al Adha May 25th to 31st

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority announced that private schools in Dubai will close from May 25th to 31st, 2026, for the Eid Al Adha holiday period. Classes are scheduled to resume on June 1st, with the closure applying to all private schools across the emirate.
The school holiday coincides with the Eid Al Adha break announced for employees in both the public and private sectors, who are set to receive four days of paid leave for Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha. Combined with the weekend, the period could result in a six-day break beginning on May 26th.
Astronomical forecasts in the UAE currently place Eid Al Adha on May 27th, following Arafat Day on May 26th. The Sharjah Space and Astronomy Hub said the crescent marking the start of Dhu Al Hijja is expected to be visible on May 17th, although official dates remain subject to confirmation by the UAE moon-sighting committee.
