Egyptian Railways Opens Online Tickets for People With Disabilities

The National Authority for Egyptian Railways will allow people with disabilities and their designated companions to book train tickets online from October 1st, 2026, through its website and official mobile application.

The service removes the need to visit ticket counters, with eligibility checked digitally by matching the passenger’s national ID and integrated services card. Where a companion is included, their details will also be verified through the system.

Names printed on tickets must match official records exactly. If the identification details or services card do not correspond with the booking, the passenger will be treated as travelling without a valid ticket, with the normal fare and applicable fine collected.

Bookings will be available through the railway’s official app on Google Play and the Apple App Store, as well as its online reservation portal.
