Dubai's First Smart Bus Station Opens at Mall of the Emirates

The Roads and Transport Authority has opened Dubai's first smart bus station at Mall of the Emirates, connecting 11 routes and linking directly with the adjacent Mall of the Emirates Metro Station.

The network includes Metro feeder, internal, and seasonal services serving residential areas, commercial districts, and tourist destinations across Dubai.

The 147-square-metre station can accommodate up to 20 passengers and is equipped with round-the-clock digital systems, including real-time transport updates and digital ticketing. Smart kiosks with virtual assistants support journey planning and customer enquiries, while integrated displays provide live information on bus occupancy and taxi availability, connected to Metro and taxi networks.

Officials said the facility is part of efforts to enhance public transport integration and improve the user experience through digital infrastructure and real-time data.

The station also incorporates sustainability features, including solar panels and smart air quality monitoring systems, and is intended to serve as a model for future smart transport stations across the city.
