Dubai Police Summer Camp Focuses on Vaping & E-Scooter Safety

Dubai Police have launched this year's edition of their free summer programme for young people, with a renewed focus on vaping and e-scooter safety as schools break for the holidays.

Open to all nationalities between the ages of 11 and 18, the programme attracted more than 124,000 visits to the Hemaya website within hours of registration opening, with some centres filling up in just three to four hours.

The programme replaces traditional classroom settings with activities designed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline and security awareness.

Previously reserved for children of police employees, the camp has been open to the wider public for the past eight years. Last year's participants represented more than 46 nationalities.

Students living in other emirates can also take part if transportation arrangements are made by their families, while free transport is available within designated areas in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
The programme begins with an orientation session covering uniforms, accommodation and transport arrangements, before military and physical training starts. Participants complete the programme with a formal graduation ceremony.
