Chipotle is Bringing Its Burritos to Saudi Arabia With Riyadh Debut

Saudi Arabia is officially getting Chipotle. The Mexican-inspired fast-casual chain is opening its first restaurant in the Kingdom later this month at Sidra in Riyadh, next to Granada Mall.

That means Riyadh diners can soon start building the kind of hyper-specific order Chipotle has made an art form out of: burritos, bowls, tacos and quesadillas loaded with your pick of rice, beans, protein, salsa, cheese and, naturally, guacamole.

The opening is being rolled out with Alshaya Group, which has been helping Chipotle make its way around the Gulf. The chain has already landed in Kuwait, the UAE and Qatar, with Saudi Arabia now becoming its fourth market in the region.

Chipotle first started expanding into the Middle East in 2024 and has since opened 16 restaurants across the region, including seven each in Kuwait and the UAE and two in Qatar.

For now, Riyadh gets the honour of hosting the Kingdom’s first branch. Whether more locations are coming remains to be seen, but Saudi burrito bowl season is officially about to begin.
