Dubai’s Ehsan Stations Bring AI-Powered Meals to Furry City Dwellers
Officially launched in March 2026, Ehsan Stations are a network of AI-powered feeding units designed to serve 200–300 meals daily to stray cats and other small animals across the city.
Dubai is feeding its stray animals…with a little help from AI.
The city’s newest innovation, Ehsan Stations, is made just for the four-legged, whiskered residents roaming its parks. Think of it as a network of AI-powered feeding units that are designed to serve 200–300 meals a day to stray cats and other furry friends across the city.
Currently in its pilot phase, the much overdue project includes 12 stations, 10 of which are in public parks, including well-known cat hotspots like Zabeel Park and Safa Park, while two others reside in Dubai Holding-managed facilities. But no matter which station a cat lands on, its curiosity will be rewarded with treats.
How They Work
Running entirely on solar power, Ehsan Station might look like simple boxes of kibble at first, but they’re actually high-tech feeders equipped with AI cameras and motion sensors that can detect approaching animals, recognise returning visitors, and welcome newcomers.
After dispensing measured portions of food and water, the station logs the visit so authorities can track feeding patterns, adjust portions, and minimize waste, all to keep hungry paws happy.
Why They Matter
By combining AI technology and solar power, the stations provide stray animals with reliable meals, reduce leftover food in public spaces, and give city planners data to manage feeding more efficiently. The whole process turns feeding stray animals into a data-driven, eco-friendly initiative for the city.
How You Can Help
Dubai Municipality is currently accepting sponsorships for Ehsan Stations with packages ranging from Strategic Sponsors (AED 500,000) to Silver Sponsors (AED 200,000).
Beyond the joy of feeding animals that need it, sponsoring means perks like having your name and logo featured on stations and social media, receiving official recognition, and even attending the project’s opening ceremony.
