Community Matters: Safe Egypt’s New Podcast Hosted by Sara Aziz
This Ramadan, the podcast will amplify a range of voices that highlight the role of community in driving social change.
This Ramadan, Safe Egypt will be releasing season one of their new podcast, 'Community Matters', hosted by Sara Aziz.
In partnership with the Canadian Embassy in Egypt, the podcast will spotlight the importance of cyber safety and the growing risks facing individuals and communities today.
Conversations will be grounded in honest and open discussions that will highlight the potential strength of communities in driving social change. The podcast aims to encourage listeners to see themselves as active participants in building safer, more connected communities.
As a certified psychosocial counsellor and long-time advocate for survivors of abuse, Sara Aziz will host a range of diverse voices from around Egypt, ranging from specialised experts to community leaders. Aziz founded Safe Egypt in 2012 to empower societies to stand out against abuse.
The podcast is an extension of that same goal, seeking to amplify real experiences, practical insights, and solutions that will allow communities to engage and confront these issues together to drive meaningful change.
