Achieve Your Perfect Shave With Local Skincare Brand GLAZED
Their jojoba oil based formula is designed to combat the harsh implications of a rushed shower routine.

Whilst winter demands rugged hairy sleeves and thighs of furry armour, the unrelinquishable desire to decode what your actual skin tone is looms over every shower and bathtub endeavour. As the soapy-suds tackle every forest-esque crevice, the growing clouds of foam somehow seep their way into your thoughts. As they entangle themselves with your lonesome braincell, you begin believing that the razor-remained-untouched requires a much needed re-acquaintance with your armpits.
As you swiftly muster up the courage to tackle the winter blasphemé, you come to realise shortly after that just because smooth skin and freshly washed sheets make for a harmonious encounter, a dull razor and dry shower gel might not. Which is where local skincare brand GLAZED comes in, with a shaving routine that ensures you always feel like a glazed donut. “I studied makeup in Berlin and I always found myself interested in beauty and skincare specifically,” Aisha Ashour, Founder and CEO of GLAZED tells CairoScene. “I wanted to create a brand with purpose, that offers products that aren’t really on the market. The shaving routine I curated specifically tackles ingrown hairs, strawberry legs and other skin care concerns that every woman experiences, but no one seems to be talking about.” The line currently consists of a shea butter, glycerin and aloe infused shaving cream, a ‘Smooth Operator’ exfoliating scrub, a hydrating and brightening moisturising jelly, and - the star of the show - a ‘GLAZED Donut’ body oil. The jojoba oil based formula is designed to combat the harsh implications of a rushed shower routine. In honour of their body-centric take on beauty, GLAZED is also currently working on shower gels to treat body acne in addition to butt creams and masks purposefully designed to lift and tighten.
