AD: Porcelia Designs Porcelain Surfaces Around Designers’ Needs

In most projects, materials enter somewhere between concept and execution, but for Porcelia they sit much earlier in the process, working alongside architects and designers as ideas develop and take form. The brand is structured to align with existing studio workflows, offering a system that supports designers.

Its collections draw from marble, stone, concrete and wood, translating these references into porcelain surfaces suited to contemporary use. This allows materials to be used on different surfaces including floors, walls, and built elements while maintaining a consistent language, whether in residential, commercial or outdoor settings.  Porcelia is a brand experience shaped around listening to individual design visions, where selection and curation position us as design partners,” says Sherif Magdy, Commercial Director at Porcelia.

Scale plays a clear role in how these surfaces are used, with large slabs enabling more continuous applications and reducing visual interruption. At the same time, smaller formats introduce flexibility for layouts that rely on a pattern, giving designers room to adjust depending on the spatial context.

The material performance supports this range of use, handling exposure to water, wear and varying conditions, which makes it suitable for terraces, façades, pools and high-traffic areas.

Alongside the physical product, Porcelia extends into the digital process through a library of 3D-ready slabs that can be integrated directly into renders. This allows material choices to be tested and communicated early, helping align expectations before construction begins.

Manufactured in collaboration with international partners, the brand maintains a focus on consistency and availability, ensuring materials arrive in line with project timelines.
