Seafood Factory Gives Feseekh a Floral Twist for Sham El Nessim

Sham El Nessim in Egypt comes with a very specific sensory package: feseekh, renga, feteer, and a smell that politely announces itself before you even enter the room. It’s tradition, it’s chaos, it’s once-a-year commitment.

Seafood Factory, however, is once again refusing to leave tradition alone.

After last year’s lineup of feseekh and renga concoctions, they’re back for spring with something a little more… poetic. Enter: feseekh with rose sauce and actual rose petals. Yes, edible florals have officially made their way into one of Egypt’s saltiest, boldest dishes.

It’s a contrast that shouldn’t work but somehow does on paper—sharp, fermented fish mellowed out with soft floral notes, turning the whole thing into a slightly more delicate (or at least better dressed) experience. Think less aggressive punch, more curated bite.

Still very much feseekh at its core, just with a floral upgrade. The dish is available to order directly through the Seafood Factory app.
