Balkan's is Ditching Round Burgers for Oval Ones

Burger with a regular round bun, and maybe some sesame on top? Been there, done that. Sometimes we're looking for burger that comes with a little fluff, or a little crisp, or just a nice and smooth feeling you didn't know you need around it. That's what's on the menu at Balkan's, a Madinaty spot that's giving burgers and other sandwiches all kinds of unconventional buns, hun, from croissants to foccacia. But the star of their show is the ever-quirky oval burger.

"Our airy oval burger, thick cuts and tangy flavours are a non-negotiable part of who we are. The shape, thickness and bite define Balkans," says Salah Khaled, founder of Balkan's.Beyond burgers, the menu covers all-day cravings from breakfast sandwiches on brioche or croissants and cold cuts to pastries, and solid coffee. Their burgers come loaded with caramelized onions, hickory smoked BBQ sauce, or mushroom cheese. There are also ground beef meals with spaghetti or rice, sliced beef steak options, and fried chicken in Italian, sweet chili, or parmesan styles.
