UAE Airlines Cancel Flights Amidst Regional Tension

Several UAE airlines—including Emirates, Etihad, flydubai, and Air Arabia—have suspended flights to multiple destinations amidst ongoing regional tensions rerestricted airspace linked to the Israel-Iran conflict.

Etihad has cancelled its Abu Dhabi–Tel Aviv route until June 22, with several other services rerouted. The airline warned of possible delays and advised passengers to check travel status online or via its contact centre.

Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport has also cautioned travelers to expect continued disruption through June 20.

Air Arabia has suspended flights to Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Russia, with some suspensions in place until June 30. Passengers transiting through Sharjah or Abu Dhabi to affected destinations will not be accepted for travel.

flydubai has halted operations to Jordan, Lebanon, Russia, Iran, Iraq, and Syria, with suspensions ranging from June 16 to June 20 depending on the route. Passengers are encouraged to check for updates on the airline’s website, as rerouting and delays continue.

Emirates has suspended services to Amman, Beirut, Tehran, Baghdad, and Basra, with some disruptions running until the end of June. The airline confirmed that travelers booked to suspended destinations via Dubai or onward on flydubai will not be accepted for travel at departure airports.

Airports across the UAE, including Dubai International and Al Maktoum International, have issued advisories urging passengers to confirm flight status before heading to the terminal.

All airlines emphasized that the situation is being monitored closely, and safety remains the top priority.
