Producer Ahmed Al‑Sobky has officially announced that the previously banned film ‘The Atheist’ will be released in theatres on December 31st. Al-Sobky also revealed the film’s official trailer.
The film, starring Ahmed Hatem and penned by Ibrahim Eissa, had faced a ban that prevented its screening after initial objections.
Last month, Egypt’s Administrative Court at the State Council rejected lawsuits concerning the ban, confirming that The Atheist had obtained an official license from the Censorship Authority for Audio-Visual Works.
