Taibah University Opens Registration for 2025 Esports Championship
The competition helps prepare competitors to represent the university in Saudi University Sports Federation tournaments and other international events.
Taibah University in Madinah has opened registration for the 2025 University Esports Championship, inviting students to compete across a range of global gaming titles. Registration remains open until October 18th, 2025.
Held under the patronage of University President Dr Nawal bint Mohammed Al Rasheed, the championship aligns with Saudi Arabia’s National Games and Esports Strategy, launched in 2022 to strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global hub for gaming and esports. The initiative supports Vision 2030 objectives of fostering youth engagement, innovation, and talent development.
According to Taibah University, the competition helps identify emerging esports talent while enhancing students’ participation in university sports programmes. It also prepares competitors to represent the university in Saudi University Sports Federation tournaments and other international events.
