Saudi Film Commission Launches JAX Film Studios in Riyadh
Riyadh’s JAX Film Studios features sound stages, a virtual production volume, and support spaces, providing a new production base for local and international film crews in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Film Commission has inaugurated JAX Film Studios in Riyadh’s JAX District, expanding the Kingdom’s production infrastructure with facilities designed for both local and international filmmakers. The announcement was made during Saudi Arabia’s participation at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.
The studio complex spans over 7,000 square metres and includes two 1,500-square-metre sound stages. A key feature of the site is its virtual production volume, equipped with Sony’s latest screen technology. The studios also house a private cinema, production preparation areas, meeting rooms, and a VIP lounge.
According to the Film Commission, the new facility is intended to meet global production standards and support various types of film and TV projects. Located near major hotels, Riyadh’s airport, and local technical talent, JAX Film Studios is positioned to reduce logistical challenges for incoming productions.
