Saudi Arabia’s Non-Profit Sector Reports Rapid Growth in Early 2024
The past few months have brought the Kingdom’s total number of registered nonprofits up to 4,656.
The National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector has announced significant growth in the early months of 2024. The past few months have seen the registration of 56 private associations, eight private institutions, and 21 family funds across the Kingdom, bringing its total number of registered nonprofits up to 4,656.
The increase in non-profit work can be seen not just in the creation of new civil entities, but also in the large number of volunteer hours seen since the start of the year. More than 113,000 individuals have donated their time to support causes they care about, aggregating more than 4 million volunteer hours logged so far this year.
