Saudi Arabia Ranks 8th Wealthiest Nation in Asia
The ranking is based on its purchasing-power parity per capita, according to the latest data from the International Monetary Fund.

Saudi Arabia has ranked eighth among Asia’s 10 wealthiest nations by purchasing-power parity (PPP) per capita, according to the latest data released by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The measure adjusts for differences in living costs, offering a clearer picture of real living standards compared to nominal GDP rankings.
The Kingdom’s position reflects more than its oil wealth, pointing instead to an ongoing economic transformation. Diversification across sectors such as tourism, logistics, industry, and mining has contributed to steady growth, helping lift per-capita PPP figures and broadening the country’s economic base.
The ranking comes at a time when several Gulf economies are also climbing PPP tables, narrowing the gap with East Asia’s manufacturing-driven powerhouses.
