The Dubai Land Department has launched a professional Real Estate Diploma in partnership with the Higher Colleges of Technology, as the emirate’s property transactions reached AED 917 billion (USD 249.6 billion) in 2025.
The new diploma is designed to build a pipeline of qualified national talent for the real estate sector through applied, market-oriented learning. According to the Dubai Land Department, each cohort will include 40 participants enrolled in a two-year pathway comprising 90 accredited training hours.
The curriculum covers key areas of the industry, including property management, real estate valuation and appraisal, brokerage, relationships with property owners and tenants, and the promotion of real estate services. To support practical training and ensure alignment with industry needs, the department has signed cooperation agreements with major developers including Emaar Properties, Sobha Realty, Aldar Properties, Omniyat Developments, Azizi Developments, Danube Properties, and Ellington Properties.
The Real Estate Empowerment programme has contributed to the employment of 1,800 Emiratis in the sector since 2024, with 2,028 Emirati brokers currently active, including 426 women.
