A field campaign is underway across Sharjah to disinfect and sanitise stagnant rainwater pools following recent rainfall, with the aim of reducing mosquito breeding and related public health risks.
The initiative is being carried out by Sharjah City Municipality as part of measures to address the effects of unstable weather conditions and maintain public safety.
Specialised teams, including engineers, technicians and field workers, have been deployed across affected areas using advanced equipment to monitor water accumulation and carry out immediate treatment.
Operations include cleaning and disinfecting stagnant water using substances assessed as safe for human health, while maintaining environmental standards.
