November 1st Declared Public Holiday for Grand Egyptian Museum Opening

In line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that Saturday, November 1st 2025, will be an official paid holiday across all government institutions and public sector companies.

The decision coincides with the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, a global event expected to draw heads of state, international dignitaries, and prominent figures from around the world.

According to the cabinet’s statement, the holiday aims to facilitate the movement of visiting delegations and allow Egyptians to follow the long-awaited celebration marking one of the most significant cultural milestones in Egypt’s modern history
