Madinah Bus Project Signs Partnership to Improve Station Network
The deal includes a 20% discount on first and last mile rides to shuttle stations via the bus app.
The Madinah Bus Project, overseen by the Madinah Region Development Authority, has signed a partnership with a national transport company to support bus station infrastructure and strengthen the integration of transport services across the city.
The agreement focuses on upgrading equipment at shuttle bus stations and improving coordination between different modes of transport within Madinah’s public transport network.
As part of the partnership, a 20% discount will be offered on first and last mile rides to and from shuttle bus stations through the Madinah Bus app. The initiative is intended to make it easier for residents, visitors and pilgrims to reach shuttle services that connect key locations across the city.
Officials stated that the measures aim to enhance connectivity between transport modes and simplify access to the wider bus network.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to develop Madinah’s urban transport system by integrating public transport and shuttle services within a unified operational framework. Authorities noted that the system is designed to support smoother movement across the city, particularly during peak seasons when visitor numbers increase.
