Filipino Social Club Distributes 850 Iftar Meals to Workers in Dubai
The Hand in Hand initiative in Dubai exceeded its initial target of 500 iftar meals.
The Filipino Social Club distributed 850 iftar meal packs to workers and community members in the Al Quoz area of Dubai during Ramadan 2026.
The distribution took place under the organisation’s “Hand in Hand” iftar initiative and exceeded its original target of 500 meals. Volunteers and members gathered to hand out the packs to ensure workers could break their fast during Ramadan.
The initiative was organised in partnership with the Cooperation Among Foreign Filipino Welfare Officers Association.
Ericson Reyes, president of the Filipino Social Club, said the programme reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen community connections while supporting workers during Ramadan. He also referenced the Filipino concept of “bayanihan,” which centres on cooperation and helping others in times of need.
