Egyptian Footballer Afsha Donates Sales of Al-Ahly Jersey to Palestine
The Al-Ahly footballer is selling the jersey he wore when he scored the winning goal during the 2019 CAF Champions League final.
National Egyptian footballer and Al-Ahly Football Club midfielder Mohamed ‘Afsha’ Magdy is selling the jersey he wore during the 2019 CAF Champions League final against Zamalek - popularly known as the ‘Alqadya Mmkn’ game - and will donate the proceeds to Palestine, in light of Israel’s ongoing bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
During the ‘Alqadya Mmkn’ game, Al-Ahly won 2-1 against Zamalek when Afsha scored the winning goal at the 85.45 minute mark, securing Al-Ahly’s ninth CAF Champions League title. His clutch performance caught the attention of commentator Issam Chawali, who famously described his tenacity by saying, "Alqadya Mmkn."
