Dubai Police Partners Eppendorf to Automate Forensic Laboratories
A new partnership with Eppendorf will introduce advanced automation and laboratory technologies to Dubai Police forensic units.
Dubai Police has signed a memorandum of understanding with global laboratory technology company Eppendorf to enhance automation across its forensic laboratories and strengthen scientific capabilities supporting the justice system.
The agreement was signed at the General Department of Forensic Sciences and Criminology by Major General Ahmad Thani bin Ghalita, Director of the General Department of Forensic Evidence and Criminology at Dubai Police, and Mathias Wenisch, Vice President of Sales at the Eppendorf Group, in the presence of senior officers and representatives from both organisations.
Under the memorandum, the two sides will collaborate on specialised training programmes, assess emerging laboratory technologies before deployment, and implement advanced automation systems. The measures aim to reduce manual intervention, shorten processing times and improve overall efficiency across Dubai Police forensic laboratories.
