100km of Hiking & Biking Trails Planned in Ras Al Khaimah

Marjan, a master developer focused on Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), reveals plans to create 100 kilometres of hiking and biking trails in the emirate’s mountain regions over the next five years.

The initiative is part of Marjan’s broader strategy to position RAK as an active-tourism destination, leveraging its rugged Hajar Mountains and natural scenery for new experiences. The company noted that the trail network will be paired with cultural and entertainment infrastructure, targeting more than 20,000 annual festival visitors as the region expands.

The announcement coincides with the strategic merger of Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding (RAKHH) to form a unified organisation overseeing real-estate, hospitality and lifestyle developments.

The trail programme is expected to roll out progressively, with the first segments likely to be accessible by 2026 as infrastructure work advances and aligns with RAK’s broader destination development timeline.
