10 to 15 Days Paid Hajj Leave for First-Time Private Sector Pilgrims
Eligible workers can take days off inclusive of Eid Al Adha if they have worked with their employer for two years.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has introduced a paid leave policy for private sector employees undertaking Hajj for the first time.
Eligible workers can take 10 to 15 days off, inclusive of Eid Al Adha holidays, provided they have completed two consecutive years of work with their employer and have not previously performed the pilgrimage.
Employers retain discretion to manage staffing levels, determining how many employees can take leave annually based on operational demands. The policy aims to balance religious obligations with workplace efficiency, ensuring businesses maintain productivity during the Hajj season.
This year’s pilgrimage is anticipated to occur from June 4th to June 9th, 2025, pending moon sighting confirmation.
