US-based Wellbees Raises $3.6 Million & Opens Qatar Office
The AI-powered employee wellbeing platform is expanding its presence across the Gulf.
Wellbees, a US-based startup that provides AI-powered employee wellbeing tools, has raised $3.6 million in a Series A round and opened a new office in Qatar as it expands across the Gulf.
The funding round was led by Qatar Development Bank and included participation from 212, A-typical Ventures, Arya VC, SABAH.fund, Sabancı Ventures, Sharks & Partners and a group of angel investors.
Founded in 2021 by Melis Abacıoğlu, Wellbees offers an enterprise platform focused on multiple aspects of employee wellbeing, including physical, mental, emotional, financial, social, occupational, environmental, intellectual and spiritual health.
Its platform combines personalised wellbeing programmes with features such as habit tracking, exercise routines, meditation, sleep tools, yoga sessions, mood tracking, employee challenges, events and analytics.
The company already operates in the UAE, the UK, the US and Türkiye, with Qatar becoming its newest regional hub.
According to Wellbees, the new capital and the launch of its Qatar office will support its Gulf expansion strategy and enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities.
The move comes as employers across the region place greater emphasis on workforce development and digital transformation, with growing demand for technologies aimed at improving employee engagement and organisational performance.
