Secure.com Raises $4.5 Million to Launch AI Security Agents in Dubai
Dubai-based Secure.com will deploy AI-native Digital Security Teammates as cybercrime costs surge and talent gaps strain security teams in MENA and beyond.
Dubai-based cybersecurity startup Secure.com raised $4.5 million from Disrupt.com to accelerate the rollout of its Digital Security Teammate platform, an AI-native system designed to embed virtual colleagues into existing security stacks. The platform is aimed at helping lean security teams manage operational strain without expanding headcount.
Secure.com stated the new technology will automate detection, response and continuous monitoring, enabling organisations to better manage evolving cybersecurity risks. The company highlighted its focus on harnessing machine learning and agent-based systems to provide proactive protection for large-scale networks and mission-critical infrastructure.
Digital Security Teammates investigate alerts, triage incidents, and handle compliance tasks, with the company stating they reduce noise by 60% and save thousands of analyst hours annually. Early deployments across finance, healthcare, and tech report 70% faster detection and 50% quicker resolution, with reduced alert fatigue. Partners including Bayzat, Blackpanda, and INIT Global are integrating DSTs, and pricing starts at $2,500 per month.
The announcement comes as global cybercrime damages are estimated at $10.5 trillion and the industry faces 4.8 million unfilled roles. In the Middle East, average breach costs stand at $7.29 million, while only half of affected companies plan to increase security spending. Hiring cycles extend for months, salaries for analysts can exceed $300,000, and burnout is widespread—84% report high stress and nearly 60% are considering leaving.
Secure.com said it intends to expand operations across the region and enter markets in North America and Europe. The company also announced plans to strengthen its regional presence by establishing research and development facilities in the UAE, recruiting talent in cybersecurity and AI, and forging partnerships with public and private sector enterprises.
